Where Are They Now? Steve Lawson

Steve Lawson – Berkshire Christian College, Class of 1981

Tell us about yourself?

My wife Karen Thoresen Lawson and I have lived mostly in the south over the last 40 years of marriage. I continued my education at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS and graduated in 1983 with a Masters in Christian Education. We have two children Bradley born in 1986 and Rebecca Daigle born in 1987, Two Grandchildren Jaxon 11 and Aiden 6 Daigle. The Daigles all live in Houston,TX.

I have pastored in Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia (West Bay A.C. Church, Holly Grove ACC NC, First A.C. Church Augusta, GA, Hickory Grove A.C. Church, NC, Bixler Memorial, ACV; Lees Chapel A.C.C.), I have served at Senior Pastor and Director of Pastoral Care for the Advent Christian Village. Currently, I serve as Executive Director of the Advent Christian Denomination.

What are your favorite memories from your time at BCC?

Working in the Kitchen, Senior Trip, Living in Dorms and Thompson Hall. Discussion around the table with students and professors.

How have you seen the Lord use your training?

In Pastoring churches and working in leadership.

What excites you most about your relationship with Christ today?

Seeing God work in the denomination and how God can take hard times and work His will in our lives.
