IN SORROW & HOPE – A Tribute to Wes Ross

Following a 7-year struggle with multiple myeloma, Wes Ross, the beloved BCC Professor of Music, passed away Monday evening November 22, 2021. Wes died at home, surrounded by his loving family. He graduated from BCC in May, 1968, and returned to teach at his alma mater when he was hired as an Instructor in Music in the fall of 1969. He spent 18 years at the college until the sale of the campus in 1987, and went on to serve as Vice-President of the Berkshire Institute for Christian Studies (BICS). Wes was also the Minister of Worship and Music at Hope Church in Lenox, MA. His lifelong impact on thousands of people was enhanced through travels with the BCC Chorale from Maine to Florida and beyond, as well as a tour of Olde England. He also ministered in various BCC music groups, traveling and representing the college. Wes was an organizer of a large BCC reunion held at Alton Bay, NH in 2018. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Suzanne (Lee) Ross, three children and 4 grandchildren. A Memorial Celebration for Wes’ life will be held at Hope Church (Lenox, MA) on December 4, 2021 at 10:00AM.
