About Us |
|
Founded in 1897, Berkshire Christian College has been preparing men and women for Christian service for over 100 years.
Originally located in Boston, Massachusetts, the campus was moved to a 64-acre campus in Lenox, Massachusetts in 1958. In 1987, this campus was closed and a new vision for the college was initiated the following year. An office was established in Haverhill, Massachusetts to support the administrative needs of the college.
While the vision adopted in 1988 no longer involves owning our own campus, our students are able to enjoy the significant campus resources of outstanding educational institutions. The emphasis continues to be on higher education that prepares individuals for lives of Christian service as pastors, missionaries, and lay leaders within the Church.
Berkshire Christian College now operates through innovative partnerships featuring under-graduate programs at Eastern University, Saint Davids, Pennsylvania; as well as graduate and post-graduate programs at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton and Boston, Massachusetts; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Jacksonville, Florida.
Berkshire Christian College also offers a variety of distance learning programs through TEMPE (Theological Education and Ministry Preparation by Extension). These include courses offered at local churches, independent study courses and seminars.
Thousands of pastors, missionaries, youth pastors, church school teachers and church workers have been trained and have served Christ throughout the world.
